This Praline Sweet Potato Pie is a delicious dessert you can easily serve for Thanksgiving. Taste the buttery crust and creamy sweet potato filling topped with crumbly brown sugar and pecans. You can truly savor the fall season with this dish!

For the Filling:

  • 1 ½ cup sweet potatoes, mashed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk , or non-dairy creamer or soymilk
  • ½ cup butter , or margarine (half a stick)
  • salt

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter , or margarine, melted
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup butter , or margarine, melted


  1. Preheat the oven to 35 degrees F.

  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs.

  3. Press the mixture into a pie pan or round baking dish.

  4. Combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, milk, butter, and salt.

  5. Pour the mixture into the crust.

  6. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, butter, flour, and pecans together until crumbly.

  7. Sprinkle it on top of the pie.

  8. Bake 35 to 40 minutes uncovered.
