Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a medium skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

  3. Add the peas and cook until heated through.

  4. Stir in the chopped bacon, thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.

  6. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

  7. Place a spoonful of the pea and bacon mixture in the center of each square.

  8. Fold the pastry over diagonally to form a triangle shape. Press the edges to seal.

  9. Place the pasties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  10. Brush the tops of the pasties with the beaten egg.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
