How To Make Pea & Bacon Pasties

Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a medium skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

Add the peas and cook until heated through.

Stir in the chopped bacon, thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.

Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

Place a spoonful of the pea and bacon mixture in the center of each square.

Fold the pastry over diagonally to form a triangle shape. Press the edges to seal.

Place the pasties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the pasties with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
