Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 sheets refrigerated pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
-
Add the onions, pickles, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the onions are softened.
-
Unroll the pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface. Using a biscuit cutter or round glass, cut out circles from the pie crusts.
-
Spoon a tablespoon of the beef and pickle mixture onto each circle of pie crust. Fold the crust over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together with a fork to seal.
-
Place the pasties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
