How To Make Spicy Fennel Linguine with Sardines & Capers

Ingredients
- 8 ounces linguine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 (4.25 ounce) can sardines, drained and flaked
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced fennel and cook for 5 minutes until softened.

Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Stir in the flaked sardines and capers. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss with the fennel mixture until well combined.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve the linguine topped with chopped fresh parsley.
