Total: 65 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin with non-stick spray.

  2. Slice the apples in half and remove the core. Thinly slice the apples crosswise.

  3. In a bowl, combine the lemon juice, water, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Add the apple slices and toss to coat.

  4. Microwave the apple slices for 3 minutes to soften.

  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal strips.

  6. Spread a thin layer of apple slices along each strip of puff pastry, overlapping them slightly.

  7. Roll up each strip tightly to form a rose shape. Place each rose in the prepared muffin tin.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the apples are cooked through.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
