How To Make Apple Crumb Pie

Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup of oats
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and granulated sugar. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch pie dish. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust.

In a small bowl, combine the oats with the remaining crumb mixture. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples.

Bake the pie for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.

Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
