  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples (peeled and cored)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples, 1/2 cup flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter together.

  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup white sugar together. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.

  6. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apple mixture.

  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

  8. Let cool before serving.
