  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the strawberries, jalapeno peppers, sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Cook for 5 minutes, until the strawberries start to soften.

  3. Stir in the pectin and continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the jam thickens and reaches the desired consistency.

  4. Remove from heat and let the jam cool for a few minutes.

  5. Transfer the jam to clean, sterilized jars and let them cool completely before sealing.

  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
