Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the mixed berries until smooth.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the berry puree, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the berry mixture until well combined.

  5. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or individual ramekins. Cover with plastic wrap.

  6. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm.

  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and milk. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

  8. Remove the semifreddo from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.

  9. Serve the semifreddo with warm chocolate sauce poured over the top.
