Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 20 Nilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt, until combined.

  2. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat, let it cool for 5 minutes.

  4. In a serving dish, layer Nilla wafers, sliced bananas, and custard mixture.

  5. Repeat layers till all ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of custard on top.

  6. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or overnight, before serving.
