  • 16 marshmallows
  • 2 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup nuts, chopped


  1. Boil sugar and milk to the soft-ball stage (235 degrees F.).
  2. Add butter and marshmallows, cut into small pieces.
  3. Beat until creamy and add nuts, if desired.
  4. Spread on cake.
