How To Make Chilli Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.

In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

Beat in vanilla extract and egg until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
