  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well.

  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  8. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
