How To Make Cinder Toffee

Ingredients
- 200g of caster sugar
- 4 tbsp of golden syrup
- 2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
Instructions

Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a saucepan, heat the sugar and golden syrup over low heat until melted and smooth.

Increase the heat to medium-high and cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes, or until it turns a deep amber color.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly whisk in the bicarbonate of soda until well combined. Be careful as the mixture will bubble up.

Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking tray and leave to cool and harden for at least 15 minutes.

Once set, break the toffee into bite-sized pieces and serve.
