This delectable dessert is a perfect combination of sweet toffee and crunchy almonds.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup crushed almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat.

  3. Stir in vanilla extract, sliced almonds, water, and salt.

  4. Increase the heat to high and stir constantly for 5-7 minutes or until the mixture turns amber in color.

  5. Pour the toffee mixture onto a lined baking sheet, and spread it uniformly.

  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the toffee and allow them to melt.

  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly using a spatula.

  8. Sprinkle crushed almonds over melted chocolate and allow toffee to cool for 15-20 minutes.

  9. Break the toffee into pieces and serve.
