  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large saucepan, combine maple syrup, heavy cream, sugar, butter, and salt.

  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped walnuts.

  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  6. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours or until completely set.

  7. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
