Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of mincemeat
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking dish.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add the cold diced butter and rub it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

  3. Place the pear slices in the greased baking dish and spoon the mincemeat over them.

  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top of the mincemeat and pears.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and the pears are tender.

  6. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
