- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, molasses, and hot water until well combined.
