  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small baking dish.

  2. In a saucepan, simmer the blackberries and wine over low heat for 10 minutes. Let cool.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Add the cooled blackberry-wine mixture, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well.

  5. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
