Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Stir until fully incorporated.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in the butterscotch chips.

  6. Spread the batter evenly into the greased baking dish.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
