How To Make Portuguese Grilled Sardines Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 fresh sardines, gutted and scaled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together garlic, parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  3. Rub the mixture all over each sardine, making sure to coat both sides.

  4. Grease the grill grates and place the sardines on the grill. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the skin is crispy and the flesh is cooked through.

  5. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
