How To Make Linguica (Smoked Portuguese Sausage)

Ingredients

  • 4 Linguica sausages
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.

  2. Grill the Linguica sausages for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and nicely browned.

  3. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and sliced bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.

  4. Slice the Linguica sausages and add them to the pan with the vegetables. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is well combined and heated through.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the Linguica sausage and vegetable mixture hot, as a main dish or with Portuguese rolls.
