How To Make Portuguese Garlic Shrimp Recipe

This recipe features succulent shrimp sauteed in garlic butter, white wine and olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  2. Add the shrimp, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.

  3. Pour in the white wine and bring it to a simmer, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  4. Finish the dish with unsalted butter and fresh parsley.

  5. Serve hot with crusty bread for dipping in the garlic butter sauce.
