How To Make Lamb Shawarma Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb lamb, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Tahini sauce, for serving
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.

Add the sliced lamb to the bowl and toss to coat the meat with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

When the grill is hot, place the marinated lamb slices onto the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.

While the lamb is grilling, warm the pita breads on the grill for about 1-2 minutes per side.

In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt and lemon juice to make a sauce.

To assemble the shawarma wraps, spread a spoonful of the yogurt sauce onto each warm pita bread.

Top with a few pieces of grilled lamb, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley.

Drizzle with tahini sauce.

Roll up the pita bread tightly and serve immediately.
