Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp unflavored gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved and mixture is hot.

  2. In a small bowl, combine water and gelatin powder. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes a thick paste.

  3. Add the gelatin mixture to the milk mixture and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

  4. Pour the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any lumps or impurities.

  5. Divide the mixture evenly into four ramekins or cups. Let it cool to room temperature.

  6. Cover each ramekin with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.

  7. To serve, run a knife around the edge of the ramekin and turn the pudding out onto a plate.
