Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, olive oil, white wine, salt, pepper, and fennel seeds. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. Divide the dough into quarters and roll each portion into a long rope about 1/2 inch thick.

  5. Cut the ropes into small pieces, approximately 2 inches long, and join the ends together to form a ring shape.

  6. Place the taralli onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely before serving.
