How To Make Israeli Stuffed Grape Leaves Recipe

Tender grape leaves filled with savory rice and herbs.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 jar of grape leaves
  • 1 cup of white rice
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse grape leaves in cold water and pat dry.

  2. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add rice. Cover and simmer until rice is cooked.

  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked rice, olive oil, parsley, mint, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  4. Place grape leaves on a flat surface and add a tablespoon of the rice mixture to each one.

  5. Roll each grape leaf tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.

  6. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a pot and cover with water.

  7. Cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
