How To Make Indonesian Nasi Uduk Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of jasmine rice
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 pandan leaf (screwpine leaf)
  • 1 lemongrass stalk, bruised
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice until the water runs clear and drain.

  2. In a pot, combine the rice, coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, pandan leaf, lemongrass and salt.

  3. Add water and stir to combine.

  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low.

  5. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the liquid has been absorbed.

  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  7. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
