Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing
  • For the Tomato Salad:
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat some oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.

  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for another minute.

  3. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until it’s browned and cooked through.

  4. Add the ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. In the meantime, prepare the tomato salad by combining diced tomatoes, cucumber, sliced onions, green chili, chaat masala, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

  6. Serve the Indian mince hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves, along with the refreshing tomato salad.
