Serves:

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil, for frying
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, mint, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 2 tablespoons each.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs in batches until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  4. Serve the Keftedes hot with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy!
