How To Make Black Bean Vegan Burger Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.

Add the chopped red onion, minced garlic, cilantro, cumin, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper (if using), bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and heated through.

Toast the burger buns if desired, and assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings.
