How To Make Crab Cakes Recipe

Deliciously crispy and flavorsome crab cakes that are perfect for an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lump crabmeat, picked over
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together crabmeat, mayonnaise, egg, dijon mustard, old bay seasoning, salt and panko breadcrumbs.

  2. Form mixture into 8 crab cakes.

  3. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  4. Add the crab cakes and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
