How To Make Savannah Smile Lemon Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Lemon zest (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and bake for 15 minutes; let it cool completely.

In a saucepan, whisk sugar, cornstarch, salt, eggs, lemon juice, and butter until smooth.

Cook over medium heat while stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).

Remove from heat and chill for 30 minutes.

In a medium bowl, beat heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Fold in the lemon custard completely.
