How To Make Savannah Smile Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed Savannah Smile cookies
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375F. Mix cookie crumbs and melted butter and press into a 9″ pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, condensed milk, lemon juice, and zest.

In another bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.

Fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites until combined.

Pour the mixture into the baked crust and bake for 15 minutes or until the meringue is golden brown.

Let the pie cool and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
