How To Make Nitro Popcorn with Butter Powder
A fun twist on classic snack food with a molecular gastronomy technique.

Ingredients
- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Liquid nitrogen
- 2 tsp butter powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the popcorn kernels and cover the pot with a lid.

Shake the pot until the popping slows down, about 2-3 minutes.

Transfer popcorn to a baking sheet and let cool.

Using gloves and safety equipment, pour liquid nitrogen into a bowl.

Add the popcorn to the liquid nitrogen and let sit for a few seconds.

Remove the popcorn from the liquid nitrogen using a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving bowl.
