- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.

Fry doughnuts for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Remove doughnuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

While still warm, dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar.
