How To Make Katie Lee’s Chicken Parmesan Recipe
A classic Italian-American dish made with breaded chicken, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F.
-
Place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese in three separate shallow dishes.
-
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
-
Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere.
-
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Cook the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
-
Transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly on top of the chicken.
-
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
