How To Make Joella’s Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe
Flaky and tender biscuits made with buttermilk and butter.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp melted butter, for brushing
Instructions

Preheat oven to 450°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in buttermilk until the dough comes together in a ball.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently.

Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut out biscuits (about 3 inches in diameter).

Arrange biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with melted butter.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
