How To Make Joella’s Chicken and Waffles Recipe
Delicious, crispy fried chicken served on top of fluffy waffles with a drizzle of sweet syrup.

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 8 frozen waffles
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions

In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.

Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.

Fry each chicken breast in the hot oil for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Toast the frozen waffles according to package instructions.

Serve each chicken breast on top of two waffles, and drizzle generously with maple syrup.
