  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, frozen
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Using a box grater, grate frozen butter into the flour mixture and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly.

  6. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.

  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.

  9. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over biscuits.

  10. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
