Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pie crust, pre-baked and cooled

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and egg yolks until well combined.

  2. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it becomes thick.

  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chopped chocolate and vanilla extract until the chocolate is fully melted.

  4. Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

  5. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate filling is set.

  6. Serve the pie chilled and enjoy!
