How To Make Piri-Piri Chicken Pittas

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 pitta breads
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Piri-Piri sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions for serving
Instructions

Preheat the grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, Piri-Piri sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

Brush the chicken breasts with the marinade mixture on both sides.

Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, heat the pitta breads on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side, until warm and slightly toasted.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Then slice it into thin strips.

Open up the warm pitta breads and fill them with the sliced chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions.

Serve the Piri-Piri chicken pittas immediately.
