  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • For the Pineapple Hot Sauce:
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Coat each chicken drumstick in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep-fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Carefully place the coated chicken drumsticks into the hot oil and fry for about 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Remove the chicken from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  6. In a small saucepan, combine the diced pineapple, hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Transfer the fried chicken drumsticks to a serving plate and drizzle the pineapple hot sauce over them.

  8. Serve the fried chicken with pineapple hot sauce immediately.
