Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet puff pastry

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a pan, heat oil and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.

  3. Add the curry powder, turmeric powder, and cumin powder. Cook for 1 minute.

  4. Add the carrots and peas, cook for another 2 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to coat evenly.

  6. Gradually add the chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.

  7. Add the shredded chicken and season with salt and pepper.

  8. Transfer the mixture to a pie dish.

  9. Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the pie dish, sealing the edges.

  10. Cut a few slits on the pastry to allow steam to escape.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

  12. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
