How To Make Curried Chicken & Baked Dhal

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup dried lentils
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Rinse the lentils and cook them according to package instructions, then set aside.

In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat and add the diced onions. Cook until they become translucent.

Add the minced garlic, curry powder, turmeric, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir and cook for about 1 minute to toast the spices.

Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides.

Stir in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer, cover, and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

Bake for 1 hour or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
