Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Sauté until golden brown.

  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.

  4. Add the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

  6. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is tender.

  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
