How To Make Oven-“Fried” Chicken Thighs

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top of the foil and coat it with cooking spray.

  2. In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Dip each chicken thigh into the beaten eggs, then coat evenly with the bread crumb mixture. Place on the prepared wire rack.

  4. Spray the tops of the chicken thighs with cooking spray to help them brown and crisp up in the oven.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken thighs are golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy “fried” chicken thighs!
