How To Make Chicken & Ham Pie

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 200g cooked ham, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the onion, garlic, and carrot, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and cream until smooth.

Add the shredded chicken, ham, peas, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Cook until heated through and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the pie dish, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.

Cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
