Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 6 dates, pitted and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the almond milk to a boil.

  2. Add the rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Stir in the chopped dates, tahini, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat and let the porridge rest for 2 minutes.

  5. Divide the porridge into bowls and serve topped with chopped nuts and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
