Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, chia seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the oats, milk, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt.

  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the oats are cooked and the porridge reaches your desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the porridge cool slightly.

  5. Divide the porridge into serving bowls and top with sliced bananas, mixed berries, and any desired optional toppings.

  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
